    Description

This is an auction for a small Polish photo album featuring an Irene Szkarlatovska. The photos date from 1938 to the 1960's. There are 86 photos, almost all b/w, 1 library card and 20 photos of an unknown castle. She appears to be have been born in the 1920's, maybe met a U.S. airman in the 1940's, moved to NYC or ? in the 1950's, worked as a secretary?, see last foto. There is one foto up front of a Polish ? serviceman, in uniform, signed in German?, see writing, this serviceman looks a lot like the Polish WW2 fighting ace/hero, Sgt. Getman, but of course that is a mere guess. The sizes are 3 1/4" x 5 1/4" down to 2x2 inches. The photos are family, friends, coming to the USA, vacationing, wedding, mom, graduation, goofing around, etc. I could not find any matches using Irene's full spelling of her last name, but Szkarlat was findable. If anyone recognizes the castle, or anything else, let me know. Almost all fotos were shot through the plastic sleeves, so ignore reflections.  Email with any questions or answers.
