Photographer Bubley was assigned to photograph a
"Norman Granz Jam Session" recording session
featuring the great saxophone player CHARLIE PARKER
and several other great jazz musicians.
Parker, as was not unusual, was late - very late - for the session,
so Bubley photographed all the other musicans, who had arrived on time,
in a variety of wonderful candid, and some arranged, BW photographs.
Eventually Parker did show up - so the book includes dozens of photos
featuring him as well.
Text in French - but photos are universal.  Beautiful book.
Fine in a fine, mylar-protected, unclipped, dust jacket.
