Beautiful set of vintage Norwegian Albert Scharning 925S Silver Vermeil and Cobalt Blue Enamel Necklace and Earrings.
Necklace is 16 inches long, made up of 20 individual links.
Each link is 3/4 inch long and 5/8 inch high.
Earrings are clip-on style.
Vermeil, also known as “silver gilt”, refers to high quality (pure or sterling) silver that is plated with a thin layer of gold.
Albert Scharning, established company in 1900, largely as an agency representing traditional Norwegian jewelry, In 1950 his son Per Scharning took over and started a separate workshop, growing the production of silver and enamel jewelry. Closed 1980.
Hallmark on each earring and the necklace, "ASch" in cursive, followed by 925 S which designates 92.5% pure silver, otherwise known as sterling silver.
Completely original, no repairs, no chips to the enamel that I can see, minor wear.

Gams-Haugsøen Jewelry Store in Bergen, Norway where this was purchased by my great-aunt in the early 1950s.
These were gifted to my Mother in the 1950s and have been in her possession since then.
She hardly wore them.
