and on and on.......several pages of index, this was just a small sampling.

-all of my books are VERY OLD and have wear. I try to explain & show the worse, but I am human and
sometimes I do miss a thing or 2.
Externally-

Boards and textblock secure, however, the
back cover was professionally re-attached
and it now has a line down the whole back joint [ see last picture].And, somewhere in its life, someone re-glued the text-block & it is just a bit off, along with a small dab of glue left at the bottom of the text block [see picture #11].  Gilt remains quite bright. Tips look pretty very good-just a bit worn. Spine ends with just a bit of wear at the top.
Back cover looks very good.
Internally-
The
pages are very clean - just a few spots
. Only 2 small rips that I saw. Thin line of edge wear to the first 50 pages [see picture #11].  3 small tip folds that I saw. Name written on ffep and on the "presented to" page.
Inner joints may have been re-taped a while back [they did a pretty good job]. Title page taped from behind at gutter about 4". Title page also has a very, very tiny hole. Gilt on page edges remains quite bright. Separation between the last page and the back free endpapers due to the cover being re-attached.

this book is very old and
may have accumulated bad smells along the way [musty basement/ mildew/ smoke]
- I have found that
dryer sheets in them for a few months makes a world of difference!
some of my books get sold right away so
please consider using this trick before deciding to return it!
My nose doesn't work like it use to
so the old book smell doesn't bother me.
