    WW2 JAN MIERZYCAN POLISH BRIGADIR GENERAL SIGNED LETTER 1947
    This is a recommendation letter hand signed by JAN MIERZYCAN (1910-1950) Brigadier General of the Polish Army and Major General of the Soviet Army.  In this letter JAN MIERZYCAN recommend Major Grylak Pawel (Pinchas) Jewish officer in the polish army, reviewing his military career, the battles he participated during WW2 includes the famous historic Battle of Lenino in October 1943, serves at the Polish 1st Tadeusz Kościuszko Infantry Division, for outstanding combat service for the development and organization of the units of the reborn Polish army.  Awards he received, and his professional abilities.     During WW2, Jan Mierzycan took part in the Soviet-Finnish war as commander of the 13th tank battalion. On February 3, 1940, he was seriously wounded near Vyborg . After recovery, he became the head of the operational department in the staff of the 3rd Armored Division stationed in Ługa.
